I ask you good people: if someone mistreated you when you were a child, lied about you, stolen from you, stolen from OTHER people, and a million other different sins, are you in any way responsible for them?
Say the person is family.
Say the person is close family.
If you pull this shit with people, do you really think you should expect people to forgive and forget, after YEARS of dealing with your crap??? This person thinks everyone should feel bad for them.
Should you feel guilty if the rest of your family seems to think you should?
And should you feel remorse if the rest of the family practically blames YOU for the shithead’s bad health?
I won’t go into more detail, but would appreciate insight.
Me? I’m thinking “fuck em”…you can’t pick your family, but you also don’t have to suffer endlessly because of their bad decisions and behavior, and if they will never change, then why put yourself through the misery and heartache of being yet another person who enables them.
Your thoughts, for real. It will be helpful, even if you totally disagree.
Please.

The lovely Lunamor already honors worthy KCLers with the illustrious Quote of the Day, but to broaden our horizons and vocabularies, I am going to bestow the Official Word of the Day Award to a deserving participant.
I was inspired to do this yesterday when I was watching Malcolm in the Middle, and someone referred to Francis as “cocksure”. FABULOUS word, and certainly not used often enough.
Sadly, I have the attention span of a…person with a very short attention span (I won’t be winning WOTD, obviously). It wasn’t until I read Lermontov’s fascinating account of his MILF experience that I remembered my goal.
He used the word “coxswain”, which has something to do with a person who drives a boat or some shit.
He also used the word “dyspepticrat”, which best I could find, means a person who suffers from digestive troubles.
So today, Lerm wins for “dyspepricrat”.
It would have been “coxswain”, had the definition not turned out to be way more boring than the actual word itself sounds.
So, be on your toes, KCLers! Challenge yourself to come up with a great word every day, so that you can be honored for both your creativity and your vocabulary. The more obscure, the better.
**applause for Lerm**
